Accounts & eligibility

You must provide accurate account details and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your country to purchase a membership or event ticket.

You must be at least 18 years old to hold an account, buy a membership or a ticket, or take part in the community. The platform centers on food, drink and the home bar; content about alcohol is intended for adults of legal drinking age.

Your content

You keep ownership of the reviews, photos, notes and posts you add. By posting, you grant Epicure Lounge a licence to store and display that content within the platform so the features work. You are responsible for what you post and must have the rights to share it. We may remove content that breaks these terms.

Community conduct

Be civil in the community spaces. No unlawful, hateful, harassing or spam content, and no attempts to disrupt, probe or misuse the service or other members' data.

If you see content that breaks these terms — harassment, unlawful or abusive posts, or spam — report it to hej@epicurelounge.se and we will review and, where appropriate, remove it. Admins may remove any forum post, thread, or bulletin.

Memberships, events & payments

Premium memberships and event tickets are paid for through our payment processor (Stripe); we never store your card details. Memberships renew automatically until cancelled, and you can cancel any time in the billing portal — access continues to the end of the paid period. Event tickets reserve a seat once payment completes; refunds for tickets are handled case by case — contact the organizer.

Right of withdrawal

As a consumer you normally have a 14-day right of withdrawal on distance purchases (distansavtalslagen). Premium memberships begin with a free trial and are not charged during it, so you can cancel before any payment with no cost. If you ask us to start a paid digital service immediately, you agree that performance begins at once and acknowledge that your 14-day withdrawal right ends once the service has been fully provided. Event tickets for a service tied to a specific date are exempt from the withdrawal right (distansavtalslagen 2 ch. 11 §).

Refunds

Memberships: you can cancel any time in the billing portal and keep access until the end of the paid period; we do not pro-rate partial periods. Annual plans renew automatically and we send a reminder before renewal. Event tickets: refunds are handled case by case — contact us as early as possible; tickets are generally non-refundable close to the event. Accidental or duplicate charges are always refunded. Refunds are issued to the original payment method via Stripe.

Disclaimers & liability

Epicure Lounge is a self-hosted community platform provided "as is", without warranties. Content — including AI-generated suggestions and third-party listings — is for general enjoyment, not professional advice. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the platform.

Termination

You may close your account at any time from your account settings. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms. You can export or erase your data as described in the Privacy notice.

Dispute resolution

If we can't resolve a complaint, you can refer it to the Swedish National Board for Consumer Disputes (Allmänna reklamationsnämnden, ARN — arn.se, Box 174, 101 23 Stockholm). You may also use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the platform evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with a new date; continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Swedish law, and disputes fall to the Swedish courts, except where mandatory consumer law grants you other rights.
